I'm pretty awestruck by this photo - I feel so small from down here...
Anytime you can put your audience right into a picture, you've achieved moments of success. And my immediate reaction is an overwhelming of the senses - I can feel a very particular breeze that causes a very particular shiver around my arms, I can hear rickety swings and rustic amusement park rides rattled by the wind, I can see, feel, and hear no one, so I look up at the sky and imagine my life less lonely. We all experience bouts of solitude - those moments can be considered anywhere from incandescently joyous to desperately morose, but the common ground of the emotions solitude causes is that they are all extremely tender. So this picture is bound to rattle a heavy heart.
